St. Jacobs, ON, January 6, 2014 – Close to 5,000 contractors across the country attend the invitation-only tradeshows each year.  Featuring over 65 hardware and building material suppliers at each show, exhibitor booths are set up with experts to answer questions, offer ideas, explain new products and trends and provide hands-on demonstrations.

New this year is a seminar series presented by JELD-WEN, one of the largest manufacturers of windows and doors around the world. All attendees are able to attend the seminars which will run at each stop across the country and provide valuable building and renovation information on building codes and new products.
The Tough as Nails Contractor Tradeshows are one of many ways in which Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Building Centre locations help homebuilders, renovators and trades people. At each show, thousands of dollars in giveaways and door prizes are awarded. In addition, attendees from all six shows are entered for a chance to win a grand prize, a 2014 Toyota Tundra vehicle. In 2013, the Toyota Tundra grand prize was awarded to Jason McWhirter of St. Thomas Ontario.

Contractors in attendance can also enjoy the opportunity to have fun with their peers by taking part in the tradeshow’s popular Contractor Skills Competitions which include; a Driver Drill Competition; a Flooring Challenge; a Nail Driving Contest and a Hockey Shootout.
