St. Thomas, ON, June 21, 2013 – The Tough as Nails (TAN) Contractor Tradeshow, which stopped in seven cities across Canada this year, offered contractors, renovators, builders and trades people the opportunity to learn about new products and network with fellow professionals. In addition, attendees from all seven shows were entered for a chance to win a 2013 Toyota Tundra.

Upon learning that he was the grand prize winner, McWhirter jumped for joy, "I’m in disbelief that I won. I have always loved attending the Home Hardware Building Centre Tough as Nails Contractor Show. As a local contractor it is a great environment to connect with suppliers to learn about new products and useful ideas. I certainly didn’t expect to win a new Toyota Tundra pickup truck for attending an event that also benefits my work."

Representatives from Home Hardware and Toyota were on-hand to congratulate Jason on his win, including Bruce White, Vice-President, Merchandise & Marketing, Lumber & Building Materials, Home Hardware Stores Limited and Greg Dyson, Area Manager, Toyota Canada Inc.

"On behalf of the Dealer-Owners of close to 1,100 Home Hardware stores across Canada, I would like to congratulate Jason on being the recipient of a 2013 Toyota Tundra vehicle and thank all our local contractors for the dedicated work they do in the community," said Bruce White, Vice-President, Merchandise & Marketing - Lumber & Building Materials, Home Hardware Stores Limited. "We strive to continue to be a trusted source for contractors in our communities by providing superior service and quality products at competitive prices. The Tough as Nails Contractor Shows allow us to reinforce the many ways in which we work to be the building centre location of choice for contractors."

Home Hardware unveiled the winner at a Contractor Appreciation BBQ hosted by Geerlinks Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Furniture Store on June 21.
