MelBex Awards features many repeat winners; including WRLA member Northland Building Supply

For the second year in a row Catz ’n Jammers for Kids and Women was a multiple award winner at the 19th Annual MelBex Awards presented by the Melfort and District Chamber of Commerce at the CJVR Performing Arts Theatre in the Kerry Vickar Centre. 

For the second consecutive year they won the Business of the Year 10 employees and under and Customer Service Awards. In her speech owner Rose Penner noted that this is their 19th year in business, as well as the 19th year of MelBex. The Customer Service Award was split with Prairie North Co-op and Catz n’ Jammers For Kids and Women.

Allied Chiropractic Health Care won the Property Appearance Award.
Dale’s Snacks Vending claimed the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The Melfort Mustangs were the winners of  Community Involvem

ent: Organization/Non-Profit.
The Heritage Award was presented to Cumberland College.
The evening closed with Citizen of the Year Penny Anderson. She was introduced with Nicole Gagne reading the letter from Nicole Fedorychka that nominated Anderson.  Anderson touched on the question of why she does all she does.

In addition to the award presentations the guest speaker was Steven McClellan, CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.
