Lowe's Commits to Reducing Waste by Charging for Plastic Bags

Starting June 1st in Quebec and September 1st in other Canadian provinces, standard plastic bags will be charged 5¢ and thicker plastic bags of 50 microns and more will be charged 10¢ in all Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate stores. Profits from this initiative will be donated to Nature Conservancy Canada to fund conservancy projects throughout the country.
