Estimating for Modern Roof Styles - NEW SEMINAR - 2017 WRLA Buying Show!

Course Description:

This course has been put together to meet the needs of house estimators that estimate the more complicated roof designs of today’s house styles.  There is no questions roof designs have become more complicated with more complicated layouts and angles, more intersects, and multiple pitches let alone the decorative turrets.  There is an argument that roofs are a modern day status symbol.

This has forced us to gather the details in a new way and we have moved from elevation based details to top down roof details.   We will still use the new estimating process from the CRBSC course hosted by the WRLA.  The process is first to visualize both the project and then the components, then do the project math, then convert from math to product and finally adding waste considerations.

**In two hours we will get the tools, understand the process and do some roof estimates
of complicated houses both gable and hip.

The tools include:
  • Understanding top down views, building size and roof size
  • Breaking down roofs into boxes
  • Understanding and using colors to interpret roof plan lines
  • Roof math incorporating slope and hip ridge factors based on pitch info
  • The super easy way of getting roof areas for hip roofs and gazeboes
  • Onsite valley framing estimating made easy
  • Multiple pitch math tools
This is a proven method that is introduced in the manual estimating courses put on by the WRLA but goes further in-depth than the residential course and incorporates some of the advanced course.
