Hotel Scammers!

The hotel scammers are back at it again, and they even called me.This company out of New Jersey (609 & 702 area codes) called Expo International Services and Progress Expo Services is another one, told me they were the official housing company for the WRLA, little did they know who they were calling.

Anyway, the short version of this very long conversation is, I told them that I was the manager of this show and did not give them permission to call my delegates and that I had recorded the conversation and I was notifying the authorities of their illegal activities and they were to cease and desist calling from whatever list they had. Not that it worked - they are still calling our members.

Seems like they don't have names so they are asking for the owner or manager, so give them a hard time if they (or others) call you and get as much info from them as possible and email me with it, then ask to speak to their manager and tell them to take you off their calling list - or just hang up if you don't have the time (which I wouldn't blame you).

We use ICS (International Conference Services), available on our website online reservation system only - they will call you if you request it. ICS sent out an email last week, to ensure you had your room(s) booked as per last year. Feel free to respond to them or email wrla@wrla.org or Susan if you have any questions or problems.
