A Wnet Member since 2018, Velera is an engaged volunteer for the Wnet Atlanta Chapter and RiseUp Committee. She has moderated and spoken on Wnet panels, including the wildly popular webinar, "Courageous Conversations About Race" that highlighted opportunities for women to be allies in the workplace. Her mission is to help women own their worth and lead with confidence in their career and personal life.
Velera earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Communications from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Wayne State University. She has been a volunteer and mentor for several prestigious groups including most recently the National Black MBA Association.
