The application window is now open for the 2025 VTCA Transportation Engineering Awards.  Submissions for this annual award are due July 1, 2025. 
 
Virginia voters turned out in strong numbers for the June 17 primary elections, finalizing Democratic nominees for statewide office and shaping the field for the House of Delegates races in the upcoming general election. While only a handful of incumbents faced primary challenges, several districts are now poised for intense competition this fall.
  
With nearly 220 attendees, the 2025 VTCA Annual Meeting brought together contractors, engineers, aggregate producers, and industry leaders for four days of engagement, learning, and strategy setting at the Greenbrier Resort.

The Virginia Department of Energy (Virginia Energy) honored outstanding achievements in mineral mine safety and land reclamation during the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) Annual Meeting on June 21 at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
All Contractor’s Erosion and Sediment Control Contractor Certifications (ESCCC) issued to date will no longer be valid as of July 1, 2025. The premature end is effective regardless of the date shown on the certification card.
