Join your aggregate friends for a day of sporting clays at Central Virginia Sporting Clays in Palmyra, VA.  This event includes a welcome reception, VTCA updates, a friendly clay shooting competition and lunch.  We ask each participant to provide their own gun.  A limited number of guns may be available if you do not have one. 
 
This is a FREE event for VTCA’s Aggregate and Aggregate Associate members.
 
All Contractor’s Erosion and Sediment Control Contractor Certifications (ESCCC) issued to date will no longer be valid as of July 1, 2025. The premature end is effective regardless of the date shown on the certification card.

The Contractor Leadership Committee is currently soliciting VTCA Contractor members interested in serving on the committee.  The committee will replace three seats that are set to expire this summer.  If you are interested in serving on the committee, please submit your interest or nominate another VTCA Contractor member by May 16.  
VTCA’s Leadership Committees are soliciting interested individuals for the Alliance’s Emerging Leader Peer Group (ELPG) for the 2025-2027 class. In addition to participants serving on their respective membership leadership committees, VTCA has expanded the program through a partnership with Innerwill Leadership Institute to deliver eight unique professional and personal development sessions.

Virginia Energy has initiated the public comment period for the revision to the guidance document - DMM Mineral Mine Operator’s Manual related to updating and streamlining guidance, simplifying regulations, and eliminating redundancies.
In early March, Virginia Tech School of Mining and Minerals Engineering conducted a symposium on the Quarry of the Future. The forum explored the future of the aggregates industry, discussing technology changes and anticipating what is to come. Hosted by Built for The Mine, this event was designed to inspire forward-thinking professionals to anticipate and embrace technology and industry evolution.
Balanced Mix Design (BMD) is an asphalt mixture design method that replaces some aspects of traditional volumetric design with performance testing for the most common distresses, such as rutting and cracking.
