The Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) was developed with an objective to provide the highway community with a state-of-the-practice tool for the design of new and rehabilitated pavement structures.
VDOT has announced the creation of the Statewide Pavement Contracts Manager, a new position within the Department. 
The 33rd Transportation Construction Management Institute, a six-day residential program held at Virginia Tech, ended on February 25 with the graduation of 33 industry professionals from contractors, consultant engineers and VDOT.
