The DEQ Underground Storage Tank (UST) Program will be changing its compliance process starting October 1. This new process will be replacing the current "one size fits all" compliance process that typically gave owners 6 months or more to resolve deficiencies. Starting October 1, DEQ's response will depend upon the severity of the issues discovered during a UST inspection.
The Virginia Tech Vecellio Construction Engineering and Management Program has announced VDOT’s Suril Shah and MBP’s Jessica Fikac as recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Alumnus Award. Suril (VT 2010) is a Sr. Project Manager in VDOT’s Alternative Project Delivery Division and Jessica (VT 2025) is an Engineer 1 for McDonough Bolyard Peck.
