Remembering Calvin Stanley

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Calvin Lee Stanley, longtime leader of Stanley Construction Company and a valued member of our VTCA family.

Calvin was born in Rockville, Virginia, on November 8, 1946, and passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. A lifelong leader with a servant’s heart, Calvin served as CEO of Stanley Construction Company until his final days. He was admired for his determination, persistent spirit, and dedication to both his work and his loved ones.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Ginger Workman Stanley; his son, John Andrew “Andy” Stanley (Lisa); his daughter, Mary Sue McKenna (Joseph); five grandchildren; and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Baptist Church Building Fund: 19110 Beaverdam Road, Beaverdam, Virginia 23015.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Calvin’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of leadership, service, and family devotion will be remembered by many.
