STATE & NATIONAL NEWS
Sadly, a prior tax scam has become prevalent again. Emails purporting to be from business CEOs, etc are being received by HR and Payroll Departments. These emails are asking for detailed employee information that can harm the employees via various identity theft measures. Always verify through a separate call or independent email to confirm that data such as this is required.

Please see the attached IRS alert. By taking one extra precautionary step, you could save identities and money. Share with your staff, members, partners, etc.

Quite a lot, actually!

In November, the VAIA Board of Directors met for a strategic planning session. Since VAIA began several years ago, it has accomplished a great deal. Due to the efforts of not only the Board of Directors, but also many of you who have volunteered your time, energy, and skills, VAIA has provided pre-licensing education to countless individuals, offered that same education at no charge for veterans and their families, and been visible in the community by educating high school students and career fairs.
