Big "I" Vice President Receives CPCU Award

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big "I") is proud to announce that Bill Wilson, CPCU, ARM, AIM, AAM, Big "I" Associate Vice President of Education & Research and Big "I" Virtual University Director, is the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society’s 2010 George M. Gottheimer Memorial Award recipient.

"Bill is a terrific part of our CPCU Society community," says James R. Marks, CPCU, CAE, AIM, CPCU Society CEO. "He is an outstanding scholar whose contributions continually enrich the CPCU Society’s journals and educational programs. Bill is the very essence of what a CPCU should be."

The award was presented by the CPCU Society Consulting, Litigation & Expert Witness Interest Group and is bestowed annually upon a CPCU Society member who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of insurance education, risk management or insurance consulting.

Wilson is the former director of education & technical affairs for the Insurors of Tennessee and was a licensed insurance and surplus lines agent. His professional affiliations have included past president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the CPCU Society.
