I can’t believe we’re less than two months away from the IIAV 2022 Convention and sold-out trade show in Virginia Beach. We have an incredible line up of speakers, none least of which is Robert Stevenson who has held positions from salesman to CEO and travels around the world today sharing powerful ideas for achieving excellence. Everyone I have spoken with who has heard him has said that his message is amazing and not to be missed…. whether you’re an agency principal, producer, account manager, or one of our company partners, for that matter. With his theme of “How the Best Get Better,” is there really anyone in your office who won’t benefit from such a message? I have heard so much about Mr. Stevenson and am really looking forward to hearing what he has to say.

Our keynote speaker on the second day is Peter Van Aartrijk—one of the industry’s brand, strategy, and performance gurus. He spoke at one of our conventions a while back and is in very high demand as an industry leader so we’re very lucky to have him back. I can’t wait to hear him speak on treating your brand like a sports car. No talk about performance measuring.

Another speaker who’s back by popular demand is Spencer Houldin who spoke to us virtually during the 2020 convention and has transitioned his agency into a 100% remote agency. We had to put together a follow-up opportunity for Spencer in 2020 because so many people called the office and wanted to hear more from him. We’re not the only ones who thinks he’s special as he just received the Big I’s highest honor for agency leadership—the Woodworth Memorial Award.

And what would a convention be without Dave Tralka, the banker who specializes in insurance agencies, Commissioner Scott White providing us with an industry update, and our very own attorney Doug Palais who recently won a case at the Virginia Supreme Court on behalf of a member agency.

There’s a lot more of course including our sold-out trade show with over 76 booths. And, yes, we’re trying to squeeze in some more to accommodate a waiting list.

All this said and you know what? The best part of the IIAV convention is YOU. I can frankly say that one of the greatest values in attending the convention is the networking among some of the Virginia industry’s leading professionals and, yes, that’s you.  While I love the speakers and learn from them, enjoy the exhibitors, and meeting our industry partners, the exchange among our peers and professionals is priceless.

Register today and I hope to see you in Virginia Beach. Go to www.IIAV.com for registration information.  Hope to see you there.
