IIAV is pleased to announce that Debbi Little has joined the IIAV staff as director of professional development and programs. Debbi will be responsible for the IIAV education and professional development program, along with her role as the Executive Director for the Virginia Association of Insurance Agents — the IIAV non-profit educational organization that primarily works to promote the insurance industry as a valued career choice, as well as directing the pre-licensing program for P/C and life/health. She will also be the staff liaison to the IIAV Young Agents program.

Debbi has significant experience in the professional development arena, having served as the director of the VCU Risk & Insurance Studies Center and the Virginia RIMS chapter. Her direct participation in the insurance industry has been through work for Markel Corporation, Aon Risk Services and the Colony Group. At VCU, she was an integral part of recruiting students to the VCU insurance studies program, and started and managed the annual RISC conference — a highlight included student competitions on significant insurance issues where students from across the country participated in the competition.

We know you will join us in welcoming Debbi to the association, where she will work to the benefit of all of IIAV's corporate entities: IIAV, VFSC, VAIA and the Young Agent Program.

You can contact her at dlittle@iiav.com.
