Linda Loving – 2018 Association Staff Award of Excellence

It’s our honor and privilege to let you know that IIAV/VFSC’s Linda Loving received the 2018 Association Staff Award of Excellence on Friday, December 7, from the Virginia Society of Association Executives. This is one of the highest awards bestowed by VSAE and certainly recognizes excellence within the profession.
While a surprise to Linda, she was able to share the announcement with her family and many of our staff. IIAV is indeed lucky to have Linda as part of our team and we hope you will join us in congratulating her on this professional recognition.
Richard Johnstone – President & CEO of the VA,MD,DE Association of Electric Cooperatives – VSAE Awards Chairman stated: Today’s nominee has been with their association for over 30 years. Obviously, they were an infant when they started with the association. That said, they broke in at least two association CEOs while serving as the interim CEO between the two. They have served and provided oversight to virtually every facet of the association and for-profit affiliate. They have navigated the representative industry achieving several highly recognized and demanding professional credentials. Due to their strong oversight, the for-profit affiliate is one of the largest and most highly respected in their representative federation. They have effectively managed the association through good economy’s and bad and providing HR oversight in many difficult situations. I dare say however that many of us in this room have called this nominee for assistance for a wide range of issues. It would then be no surprise to anyone that this nominee has become a mentor to a wide range of professionals who have had the honor of working along-side our nominee. They have served on a number of VSAE committees and programs usually quietly and behind the scenes. Having said that VSAE received numerous nominations for today’s candidate.
