Join the Conversation – Foundation for the Future Listening Tour

As your Chair of the Board, I’m pleased to share how proud I am witnessing our collective effort unfolding in real-time. Earlier this year, we launched Foundation for the Future, a yearlong initiative to define a bold vision for the Commonwealth’s construction industry. From the outset, this venture has been rooted in collaboration and dialogue – and now, it’s time to turn dialogue into action.

Why This Listening Tour Matters

Through the rest of the summer and into the fall, AGCVA is bringing the Foundation for the Future framework to your region of the state – partnering with local legislators and business leaders to present our vision and gather critical member insight. Each listening session is designed to:

  • Give you a first look at this important framework.
  • Provide insights on workforce development, right-to-work, and economic competitiveness.
  • Facilitate a meaningful, moderated discussion with both policymakers and industry peers.
  • Capture your feedback – input that will shape the final strategy delivered to Virginia’s next Governor and all 140 members of the General Assembly.

Upcoming Regional Tour Stops

This listening tour is tied to key regional events across the state:

Region Date Location

A Call to Engage

This is your opportunity to help shape the future. Your on-the-ground experiences lend real weight to the policies that will guide Virginia’s construction landscape – for decades to come. The strength of AGCVA has always been in our unity – across member types, districts, and leadership – and it’s through your voice that we become more effective advocates.

I urge you to register for the session nearest you – and bring your insights, questions, and ideas.

Let’s build Virginia’s brighter tomorrow, together.
