Small Update, Big Impact!
The nursing staff at CrossOver's Richmond Clinic have a beautifully refreshed space for their desks, thanks to the generous donation of time, skills, and supplies from the Association of General Contractors of Virginia-Richmond District.
"We’re excited about the renovated space, which will allow our nursing team to work more closely and efficiently," said Angela Ahmadi, Richmond Clinic Coordinator. "In the past, one of our nurses had to work in a corner or the lobby, surrounded by noise and distractions which made it challenging to focus. With this new office, they’ll be able to collaborate better, reduce stress, and ultimately provide higher-quality care for our patients."
"The flooring guys got in there and found asbestos, which put a halt to everything," Jack recalled, but AGCVA members Demolition and Asbestos Removal, Inc. came out and provided asbestos abatement to get the project back on track safely.
Over the course of Valentine's Day weekend this year, teams from more than 10 companies came in so that the work could be completed without disrupting clinic operations. Jack ensured that teams could come in and do their part, from demolition, to framing and hanging drywall, to installing new lighting throughout most of the building, to painting and clean up.
"We're all doers," Jack said, "so everyone's eager to jump in and do their part—more often than not it's about finding the right partner to support." CrossOver is so grateful for the donation of time, talent, and supplies which helps us do so much more with the space that we have!
