Morgan-Keller Construction Groundbreaking Held for Jefferson Plaza Apartments in Woodbridge, VA

A groundbreaking ceremony took place for Jefferson Plaza Apartments in Woodbridge, VA on Wednesday, February 28th. This significant project for Morgan-Keller Construction (Richmond District) includes the demolition of an existing inline shopping center to pave the way for the construction of seven garden-style apartment buildings. Utilizing stick framing, these buildings will house a total of 240 units, spanning an estimated 231,807 square feet. This development promises to revitalize the area and provide much-needed affordable housing options for the community.

 

Skanska to Build SEK2.5bn Data Centre in US

Sweden-based Skanska (Richmond District), a global construction and development company, announced a new contract worth approximately SEK 2.5 billion (US$242 million) in the US state of Virginia.

The project seeks to erect a 23,000m2 (250,000 sq. ft.) data campus for what Skanska called “an existing client.”

The firm announced it will also do associated site work and utilities for the new centre.

“The scope also includes a fit out of an administration space and three data halls,” said Skanska.

Work started this month with an expected end date in December 2025.

W.M. Jordan Company has a Successful Conclusion to United Way of the Virginia Peninusla Fundraising Year

The 2023-2024 Campaign Cabinet, led by W. M. Jordan Company (Peninsula District) President Ron Lauster, raised over $5.3 million to benefit the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. They thank everyone who supported this cause over the last year and continues to show support today. 

The United Way of the Virginia Peninsula’s Emerging Leaders Society, which includes W. M. Jordan’s Holli Wilson, Kasey Joyce and Kacey Madlock, was also recognized for their community impact throughout the year.
