Grow the Construction Workforce By Leveraging These Scholarship Opportunities

AGCVA Valley District Zachary Fletchall Memorial Construction Scholarship

Deadline: June 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
These scholarships are provided by the AGCVA Valley District in memory of Zachary Fletchall (Harman Construction), the president of the Valley District at the time of his death. Students and/or others working towards a career change, who reside in a county within the Valley District (Augusta, Clarke, Frederick, Highland, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Warren counties) are encouraged to apply. The application provides the full qualifications for the ideal candidate(s). The AGCVA Valley District Zachary Fletchall Memorial Construction Scholarships are funded by the AGCVA Valley District. Each scholarship will be $1,000.

AGC of America's Workforce Development Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.

This scholarship is for students pursuing associate degrees, technical training or certificates to enter the construction industry. Please review the Criteria Page to ensure you qualify for the Workforce Development Scholarship. Scholarships are $1,000 per year, renewable for up to two years. If you are attending a four year university and intend to earn a Bachelor's degree please make sure to apply for our Undergraduate Scholarship application.

HarborFreight Scholarship

Deadline: May 22, 2023
Harbor Freight Tools for Schools is excited to offer travel scholarships to eligible high school students competing in skilled trades competitions at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) this June in Atlanta. Students can apply to receive up to $1,500 to assist in attending the 2023 NLSC.  Applicants must be current students in U.S. public high schools, and either a) competing in a skilled trades pathway, or b) competing in a Leadership Development competition and enrolled in a skilled trades program during the 2022-23 school year. Applications close May 22, 2023, and recipients will be announced on May 25, 2023.

ACE Mentor Program Scholarship

Capitol Technology University offers a $5,000 scholarship to ACE Mentor Program students.These funds may be used toward any on-campus undergraduate degree at the university. The award is renewable up to a
total of $20,000 over four years, contingent upon good academic standing.

AFSA Second Chance Scholarship

The Second Chance College Scholarships Contest is open to citizens and aliens legally residing in the USA with High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.  Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; the winner must enroll or already be enrolled for the Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 session.

Bring Back the Trades Scholarship

Bring Back the Trades Inc. awards monthly scholarships during the school calendar year to students from across the United States who are attending post-secondary education in the Skilled Trades.

Monthly scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each month and sent directly to the secondary school the award recipient is attending.
