Clancy & Theys Announces Promotion of Chad Cowger

Clancy & Theys Construction Company is thrilled and ever so proud to announce the promotion of Chad Cowger from Senior Project Manager to Project Executive.

Chad, a US Army veteran and Old Dominion University graduate, joined Clancy & Theys in 2004 as an Assistant Project Manager. He worked closely with former Senior Project Manager Pat O’Neil on multiple key accounts, including the Williamsburg Lodge and Dollar Tree. He eventually took over as lead Dollar Tree account manager when Pat retired. With Chad’s guidance, our relationship with Dollar Tree has blossomed into one of our leading accounts, completing numerous projects to date. Chad is the first to say that this success has been a team effort. For nearly two decades, he and his team have worked on some of our company’s most logistically challenging projects - largely industrial work. With his passion for building not only quality projects, but also genuine, lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues alike, Chad is the epitome of The Clancy Way.

Outside of Clancy & Theys, Chad is active in industry organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the AGC-VA. Beyond his career, Chad is the definition of a family man, as cherished husband to Aislinn and doting dad to Eason and Addison. On many weeknights and most weekends, Chad can be found coaching and/or cheering on the kids’ sports teams or his favorite professional team, the San Francisco 49ers. While some may question his choice of NFL teams, there is absolutely no doubt that Chad’s promotion is much deserved. We congratulate him and look forward to his continued success and leadership.
