About 6 acres of prime city real estate is for sale, and Wednesday a dozen developers submitted their proposals for the Greater Richmond Transit Co. bus depot property at 101 S. Davis Ave.
 
CBRE|Hampton Roads announced the sale of the Tivoli Apartments in Virginia Beach at the end of May. Artcraft Tivoli L.C. sold the property to Maryland-based Atlantic Multi Family.
 
Charlottesville, Va. (NEWSPLEX) – A new apartment complex targeted at University of Virginia students is coming to West Main Street in the fall of 2016, and it may create more affordable housing throughout the city.
 
Apartment projects are booming in Spotsylvania County, according to county building official Lewis Watts.
 
Jeanne Stosser of Fiddler’s Green Partners said her development group is working with an out-of-state company that wants to purchase 6 acres of the 20-acre property for a mixed-use commercial development. Fiddler’s Green Partners has held an option to purchase the remaining 14 acres of the property since 2011 and wants to build a mix of housing types there, Stosser said.

Real estate data firm Zillow said Tuesday that prices nationally climbed a seasonally adjusted 4.3 percent in May from a year ago. Rents still are rising at double-digit rates in Denver, San Francisco and San Jose, Calif., with their job opportunities drawing new residents at a faster pace than construction can match.

Many of us have just finished getting bombarded with the first wave of A/C calls and corrected more than our share of undercharged units. Whew!

RVAA hosted a Morning Perk at The Gables at Spring Creek in Lynchburg on June 19, sponsored by Apartment Guide/Rentpath. Our guest speaker was Lauren Curley presenting "Brand Yourself." Lauren provided some great insight for marketing and creative thinking, and RVAA thanks her for a wonderful presentation!
 
 
   
BRAC hosted its Quarterly Luncheon on June 18 at The Greencroft Country Club, sponsored by Paul Davis Restoration. Guest speaker was VAMA lobbyist Brian Gordon, who provided legislative updates for 2015.
 
 
   
NRVAC hosted a Happy Hour event on June 9 at Bull & Bones Brewhaus, sponsored by Off Campus Partners. It was a great success with close to 40 attendees! Everyone enjoyed an evening to relax after working hard on turnovers all day.
