VAMA News
The Commonwealth remains an example to the nation when it comes to distributing the vast reserve of funds that have come down from the federal government as a part of various COVID-19 aid legislation throughout the crisis. Though Virginia is on the right track regarding housing stability and the health of the housing industry, threats loom on the horizon as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.
VAMA is now accepting nominations for Volunteer Leadership positions on our 2022 VAMA Committees and Board of Directors. Nominations are due by October 15.

We understand that you have a lot to consider when putting together your budgets and calendar for the year. When it comes to your association needs, we want to help make this as easy as possible. VAMA is hosting a session for housing providers on October 26, which will highlight the ‘do’s and don’t’s’ of the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act, go over recent changes to the Virginia Code regarding rental housing, and answer questions regarding the current state of the eviction process in the Commonwealth. The event is FREE and open to the public. VAMA's goal is to educate members and nonmembers alike on these issues in order to promote the highest standards of professionalism in our local industry. Please spread the word!
