Accessory dwelling units (ADUs) have become a popular strategy, with states like California and Arizona legalizing them by-right, significantly boosting annual ADU production. Projects like Samuel Madden Homes in Virginia and One Sunset in Brooklyn showcase how zoning revisions and transit-friendly policies are driving new development.
