Nearly 100 attendees and 30 exhibitors participated in the first Virginia Pavement Research and Innovation Symposium (VPRIS). Held June 26-27, 2018 at Germanna Community College in Culpeper, 15 presentations were made by conference exhibitors and four by VTRC scientists on a variety of topics. Based on a survey conducted after the symposium, every presentation was well-received. Attendees appreciated the 20-minute presentation time limit; it kept the conference moving and the presenters on-point. Also, both exhibitors and attendees recommended hosting VPRIS again in 2019. Discussions are underway to select dates and other format changes to improve VPRIS next year.
