Summer is heating up and so is pavement recycling. This summer Virginia will continue to see full-depth reclamation and cold asphalt recycling projects. To learn more about these recycling techniques, how they are performed, and how they are accepted by specification, VECAT will be offering three new certification classes. These classes will utilize a combination of international industry experts, VDOT specifiers and VTRC researchers. Upon completion of the class and passing a certification exam, students will receive a VECAT certification. Each pavement recycling class is one day in length.  Classes are August 1 (Full-Depth Reclamation), August 2 (Cold Asphalt Recycling Plant) and August 3 (Cold Asphalt Recycling Field) at the Germanna Community College Daniel Center Campus in Culpeper.  Each class is $275 which includes class materials and breaks. For complete information see the VECAT Class News later in this newsletter and visit the GCC website to register while space remains.
