Fall Conference & Asphalt Expo — Right Around the Corner

We know that it's early in the year to be talking about the Fall Conference & Asphalt Expo, but we are so excited about this year's event! The 2017 Fall Conference and Asphalt Expo will build upon the success of last year.  

 

The 2017 Keynote speaker will be Mr. Harold Mullen – Executive Vice President for the Texas Asphalt Pavement Association (TxAPA). Mr. Mullen will address "Quality through Partnership" and highlight the partnerships between the asphalt industry in Texas and the Texas DOT in their quest for quality. Listening to the feedback we received from 2016, this year's conference will include expanded technical sessions on Tuesday morning. Up to six (6) different breakout sessions will be offered — three before the morning break and three following the morning break. Topics will range from mix design and reflective cracking mitigation to construction innovations and pavement design. Finally, the conclusion of the conference will be 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The VAA realizes many of the attendees have a long drive home, so concluding the conference earlier will allow those attendees to hear the afternoon sessions without missing any important information. The Conference wrap up will be followed by a VAA All Members Meeting at 5:00 p.m.

 

Don't forget the Asphalt Expo! Last year was our first Asphalt Expo and it was a great success. Striving to make the event bigger and better every year, we have increased the number of exhibit spaces available by adjusting the layout of the room and this year the exhibit hall at the Marriott will accommodate 63 vendors.
