SAPA Meeting Held in Des Moines

The State Asphalt Pavement Association (SAPA) recently held its annual meeting in Des Moines, Iowa.  Mr. Bill Rosener – Executive Vice President of the Asphalt Pavement Association of Iowa, hosted the meeting.  Bill is the 2016 President of SAPA. The meeting is a combination of technical and association-related discussions amongst the 39 state associations.

The meeting in Iowa saw 32 of the 39 associations attend which translated to 50 people.  This year Mr. Richard Schreck served as the Immediate Past President for SAPA and chaired the nomination committee.  Mr. Trenton Clark provided a presentation on the development, status and future plans for the VECAT program.  Along with the SAPA meetings, attendees were treated to the sights, sounds and food of the Des Moines area.  The 2018 SAPA meeting will be held in St. Augustine, Florida with Mr. Jim Warren (Asphalt Contractors Association of Florida) hosting.
