VAA Awards First Three Scholarships

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Casey’s father and grandfather have worked for B&S for many years. He is a senior at R.E. Lee High School in Staunton and will be attending UVA-Wise in the fall to study software engineering and play football.

Taylor is the daughter of Harry and Flo King of Colony Construction. Taylor is completing her freshman year in Engineering at Virginia Tech and plans to pursue Chemical Engineering.

Emily is the daughter of Jeff and Elizabeth Perkins of Boxley. Emily will be attending UVA in the fall.

The scholarship was started in 2014 to support dependents of VAA members. Students had to complete an application form, get a letter of recommendation from their school, and a letter of recommendation from the company for which their parent or guardian works. The VAA Scholarship Committee reviewed all applications and made the final winner determinations.
