CREF Wraps Up a Successful COMPOST2026

CREF was proud to be part of USCC’s COMPOST2026 conference—one of the year’s most impactful gatherings focused on advancing organics recycling, soil health, and sustainable practices. Our team was excited to connect with so many members of the compost community to share updates from our organization.
Some of our favorite moments at the conference included:
- Sharing CREF’s accomplishments from the last year at the USCC/CREF public annual meeting, and premiering our new Compost Operations Training Course promo video.
- Unveiling our research project for 2026, with Kathy Kellogg Johnson leading a successful fundraising launch.
- Celebrating the latest International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) art contest winners: poster winner Endurance Oye and bookmark winner Victoria Osadchuk.
- Hosting a well-attended laboratory forum to discuss updates to the Test Methods for the Examination of Composting and Compost (TMECC).
- Recognizing key CREF supporters at the closing plenary.
