In their recently-released 2024 Global Impact Report, they highlight the success they had in 2024 in sticking to this commitment. In addition to highlighting other charitable endeavors, their successes regarding food waste reduction and composting include:
- Caring through Food: Chick-Fil-A helped create 9.9 million meals from surplus food donated through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program.
- Caring for the Planet: Chick-Fil-A diverted 19 million pounds of food waste from landfills in 2024 alone, surpassing its 2025 goal to divert more than 25 million pounds of food waste from landfills ahead of schedule.
Chick-Fil-A is a member of the USCC Corporate Conference Leadership Council (CCLC). Through contributions of time, talent, and financial support, this group of companies helps USCC and other companies in the nation to close gaps in compost infrastructure in large-scale food production. We want to congratulate Chick-Fil-A for their successes in 2024, and for leading the charge of reducing food waste in large-scale food production, through edible food rescue and composting.
