CCOM™ Spotlight: Jeff Rook

Jeff Rook is a chemical collection technician for the city, coordinating the recycling and proper disposal of the city, county and residential hazardous waste. Jeff has worked in hazardous waste management, clean up, and disposal for nearly three decades, with five years of that in natural disaster cleanup.

"In my current position, which falls under the recycling division, it has allowed myself to be very involved with the recycling of all materials including the full process of creating, marketing, and the sale of our mulch and compost facility. The science of this process interested me, plus getting to operate all the machinery is a plus."
