Joe Lamp'l

The USCC is the national leader in promoting the use of compost. One of the key ways the USCC’s Market Development Committee is expanding and encouraging compost use is by enlisting a national television celebrity as our spokesperson.

For the last four years, Joe Lamp’L of PBS’s Growing a Greener World and JoeGardner.com has been representing compost and STA Certified Compost for the USCC. Joe speaks in a down-to-earth way that’s easy for everyone to understand. He has spoken for compost on his TV show, in key speaking engagements on many topics at our conference and through YouTube video tools - some custom-designed for STA participants.

Joe’s simple yet broad education and outreach expand compost understanding and promote the US Composting Council. Our continued partnership also provides other resources to our members, like our YouTube channel. You should visit and subscribe today to see and share the latest videos with your potential customers. These online tools are useful for increasing business for our STA participants, covering topics like the STA Certified Compost Program, compost use in top-dressing turf, compost use in engineered soils and more.

Working with a professional spokesperson has allowed for more diverse and unique opportunities for the US Composting Council and its members. Joe and Growing a Greener World provide the USCC with a huge public audience. His show airs nationally on PBS (find your station here), is widely available online and is even expanding into a weekly podcast. Our sponsorship of this television program puts the US Composting Council in the same league as Subaru, and you’ll see our ads alongside their corporate sponsorship on the show!

Check your local listing or watch online today to see the increasing success of our Growing a Greener World partnership.
