Volunteer for an Advocacy Task Force

The Legislative and Environmental Affairs Committee (LEAC) has set up two subcommittees for the coming year. They are not standing committees, so their term will be time-limited.

  • AdvocacyDefining Advocacy Task Force. USCC members have consistently ranked “advocacy” at the top of their list for important roles the organization should play. As we look at adding more resources in this area, we need to know how members define “advocacy." This committee will compile and review a survey this spring to answer this question. To volunteer, email staff liaison Cary Oshins.
  • Zoning Model Zoning Task Force. As part of the USCC’s effort to expand infrastructure development for composting, a task force to provide model zoning for municipalities is beginning its work. If you can help, reach out to chair Marcus Zbinden or staff member Cary Oshins.
