A state-of-the-art facility in Ontario, Canada will be the hub of research by Kellogg Garden Products to ensure that consistent, high-quality organic products are available to Kellogg’s customers throughout the U.S.

The Janice L. Kellogg National Laboratory was designed by members of the company's quality assurance team from across the country, who designed, prepped and purchased all of the equipment. The Kellogg QA team flew in from around the country to celebrate the opening in February.

The QA team suggested the name—after Janice Kellogg, mother of Kathy Kellogg Johnson (USCC member), who took great pride in the quality of Kellogg’s garden products. The doorway to the facility features a photograph of the Kellogg family, and the interior of the laboratory boasts the rose-engraved acrylic sign featuring Mrs. Kellogg.

After the ceremony, QA team members demonstrated some of the lab equipment, followed by a reception of coffee and cupcakes.

“I am reminded of just how intensely proud that I feel when I witness the dedication and expertise that we have throughout the company,” Ms. Kellogg said of the facility.
