The Texas Fire Chiefs Association (TFCA) is proud to announce the successful graduation of 78 officers from the 2025 Battalion Chief Academy—an intensive, state-wide leadership development program designed to prepare the next generation of fire service leaders.
Over the course of the academy, participants representing fire departments from across the state engaged in a tailored training program that combined classroom instruction, real-world application, and peer collaboration. The program focused on equipping Battalion Chiefs with the tools and insights necessary to lead with integrity, make critical decisions under pressure, and foster excellence within their organizations.
Key topics included leadership development, fire ground tactics, the integration of advancing technologies in the fire service, and mastering the art of having difficult but necessary conversations. Each session was designed to challenge participants to grow both professionally and personally, while reinforcing the values of service, accountability, and strategic leadership.
TFCA extends its congratulations to all 78 graduates for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to raising the standard of leadership in the Texas fire service. Their achievement is a testament not only to their individual drive, but to the collective strength and future of fire leadership across our great state.
The 2025 Fall BCA will take place Monday, November 3 – Friday, November 7 in College Station. More information and registration details will be available later this summer.
