Monster and Military.com have named Schneider Logistics as a Top 10 employer for military veterans. This is the third straight year that Schneider has made the Top 10 list.

“While it’s an honor that Monster has recognized us again for our commitment to hiring military veterans, the spotlight truly belongs on the Schneider associates who bring their military experience to our organization,” said Rob Reich, Schneider senior vice president and a U.S. Army veteran. “We are proud that 22 percent of our associates have military experience, and we have them to thank for the strength and success of the company.”

In this week’s edition of Ahead of the Curve, TIA highlights one of the most valuable benefits offered to our members: the TIA Carrier Selection Framework. The Carrier Selection Framework (CSF) is now in its 12th iteration and it continues to be updated on an annual basis, providing TIA members with the most current information. Since its inception in 2006, the CSF offers expert advice and opinions from a broad and diversified range of subject matter experts, with firms and individuals who are authorities in 3PL and freight broker operation.

2019 is looking to be one of the best freight markets for savvy 3PLs. It’s imperative to focus on creating a strategic plan that will take advantage of these favorable market conditions and position your organization to capture its rightful share of the market.

“I'm mentoring a young woman who recently started a brokerage firm. It makes you feel good that you can help along the way. To help you be true to yourself and know how much you’re worth.”  Sue Spero, CEO of Carrier Services of Tennessee and TIA Board of Directors member

TIA’s Mentorship Program has been so successful that we’ve run out of mentors. We’re looking for experienced and successful brokers with some spare time each month that are willing to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of brokers.

TIA's Mentorship Program will match you with a mentee in a structured program designed around the mentee’s goals. You and your mentee will meet monthly by phone, Skype, or email over a period of six months. To learn more about the program, click here to read a recent 3PL Perspectives article.
