SunteckTTS announced it has acquired HA Logistics, a freight brokerage and logistics company with full-service sales and support operations in California, Ohio, Texas and Washington state.

“HA Logistics has shown remarkable growth and is an excellent fit to help accelerate our company’s expansion,” SunteckTTS CEO Ken Forster said in a news release. “Further, this acquisition will drive growth and profitability by combining our technology-enabled transportation solutions with HA Logistics’ experienced sales and operations team members.”

Last week, TIA filed comments in response to the August 21, 2018 Federal Register Notice the Agency published seeking comments on the released Corrective Action on improving the Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) office. TIA remains steadfast in support of removing the public scores, rankings and data from the public view until they are directly tied to a motor carrier’s safety rating.

In order to improve your member experience, TIA is currently upgrading our database. Access to TIA’s website is unavailable during this time.

Traffic congestion on the nation’s highways added $74.5 billion in operational costs to the trucking industry in 2016, according to the American Transportation Research Institute’s recent analysis.

ATRI’s “Cost of Congestion to the Trucking Industry” update, released Oct. 18, relied on data from ATRI’s GPS systems and the Federal Highway Administration to determine what costs the industry incurred from clogged roads. This year’s figure marks a 0.5 percent increase from the updated 2015 figure of $74.1 billion.
