Charles McAlpin, President & CEO of McAlpin Company, passed away in late May. McAlpin was a long-time TIA Member and was the recipient of the 2020 TIA Heritage Award. His career in the transportation industry spanned more than 50 years, including being a charter member of TBCA, which would go on to become TIA in 1978.
“We celebrate the life of Charles McAlpin, while our prayers are with the McAlpin family for their loss,” said TIA Interim President & CEO Doug Clark. “Charlie’s influence on TIA and the industry is foundational and continuing. He truly encompassed everything we look for in recipients of the Heritage Award, and we will always remember him.”
McAlpin certainly left a long-standing mark on the world and the transportation industry. His son, Joe McAlpin, has followed in his footsteps as President & CEO of Infinity Software Solutions and as a proud TIA Member as well.
