TIA Member Estes Wins 2018 Award for Humanitarian Service

Highlighting the critical role of logistics in saving lives in times of natural disaster, the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) recently announced its second annual Humanitarian Logistics Awards, and TIA member Estes was honored for their emergency relief in Florida.

“Last year, we launched these awards to honor the many individuals and companies who consistently go above and beyond to serve others,” said ALAN Executive Director Kathy Fulton, while presenting the awards at the CSCMP EDGE conference. She added, “Each of these recipients is living proof that humanitarianism isn’t just a one-time event – and that true service extends well beyond a single disaster. We’re grateful to them for the many contributions they have made, and we are proud to recognize them today.” Among the honorees:

ALAN’s Humanitarian Logistics Awards recognize companies and individuals who exemplify the best that the supply chain has to offer by assuring that aid and comfort are rapidly delivered to communities in crisis. Presented annually, they are open to any logistics professional, organization or department.

“I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am for Estes to receive this award,” said President and CEO Rob Estes. “We are happy whenever we can support the communities in which our employees live and work. I think our people have the biggest, most generous hearts in the industry, and I salute the efforts of all the men and women who contributed to us receiving this award.”

TIA extends its heartfelt thanks to all the honorees.
