Fellow TIA Members, the Intermodal Logistics Conference established a working group for the sole purpose to build an informational platform for our members and the shipper community to help educate on charges that occur above and beyond a general transaction. Our Conference believes it is imperative to have this working knowledge of these accessorials to help better facilitate communications and transactions between the providers of freight and their valued customers,” said Shelli Austin, President of InTek Freight & Logistics, Inc. and Chairwoman of the TIA Intermodal Logistics Conference.

This important resource was developed to help educate all parties involved in intermodal business transactions. Like other modes, intermodal accessorials are incurred while performing freight services that go above and beyond the general transaction.

“Under the leadership of Chairwoman Austin, TIA continues to look to provide value to its members through research and resource development focused within the intermodal space. Additionally, as TIA continues to build its name recognition amongst the shipper communities through several different verticals, TIA will continue to work to arm our members with the latest information which will allow them to better serve their customers,” said Chris Burroughs, Vice President of Government Affairs for TIA.

The intermodal accessorial resource can be viewed under the Intermodal Logistics Conference page on the TIA website by visiting www.tianet.org.
