The TIA Nominating Committee seeks interest from members to fill three open At-Large seats and the Intermodal Logistics Conference Chair on the TIA Board. The members of the TIA Board are the owners or decision makers within their companies. The Committee urges those members interested in running for the TIA Board to complete the TIA Board Application and return it to TIA’s President & CEO (voltmann@tianet.org) no later than Monday, December 10. The Committee will review all expressions of interest and report its recommendations to the membership in January.

In addition to these open seats, two current At-Large members and the Highway Logistics Conference Chair are eligible for re-nomination for a second term.

The Nominating Committee is charged with reviewing expressions of interest to run for the Board, and expressions of interest to run for a second term, and in so doing, maintaining the balance between the size of companies, geographic representation, business mix, and the overall make-up of the Association. The Committee looks for members that have been actively involved in TIA activities.

The TIA Board of Directors is comprised of 16 members elected At-Large, four members elected to represent specific segments of the membership (Highway, Intermodal, International, and Air), and four ex-officio members (Immediate Past Chair, TIA Foundation Chair, TIA Services Chair, and TIA Political Action Committee Chair). The TIA Board of Directors sets the policy and governing objectives for the brokerage-based third-party logistics industry. The Board meets three times during the year: at the TIA Conference in April, at the TIA Policy Forum in Washington, DC in June, and at TIA’s Technovations Conference in November.
