TIA Remembers TMW’s Dave Wangler

Last week, David Wangler, President of TMW Systems and Trimble’s transportation software division, passed away. He was 56.

TIA President and CEO Robert Voltmann said, “TIA extends its deepest sympathies to the Wangler family and TMW on the passing of Dave Wangler. Dave was a good friend to TIA and the 3PL industry. He was an innovative leader who will be missed.”

Wangler joined TMW as its president in 2006. Prior to TMW, he held executive management positions at SupplyWorks; Baan; SKYVA International and Wonderware Corp.

Wangler was also a bassist in the Columbus, Ohio-based band Everything Must Go, the bassist in Holy Angels Youth Band, and a mentor in the Catholic Charities Refugee Program. Wangler is survived by his spouse, Michele Misko-Wangler, his daughters Alexis, Brooke and Mackenzie, his brother Russell and sister-in-law Laura of Columbus.

Per his family’s wishes, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities.
