The COVID-19 pandemic occurred in the wake of established nursing shortages across the country. Maintaining adequate numbers of competent nurse leaders is essential in creating a safe environment for nurses to practice, generating quality care, and nurturing the professional development of nursing staff. Your contribution to this study will assist in establishing baseline levels of nurse leader burnout, and perceptions of self-care both pre and post pandemic. The research findings will support recommendations for wellness initiatives and resilience building. Please click the link below to fill out the survey and contribute to the study.

Nursing Leadership
Nursinging In Practice
Though the field of nursing has moved past its history as a ‘feminized’ profession, what impact is this history still making today? Practice and Patient Care
Minority Nurse
The VA knows that inclusion equals innovation. All Veterans are different, and health care is not one-size-fits-all. “To ensure a welcoming environment for Veterans, we must foster fair and inclusive VA workplaces where the experiences and perspectives of our diverse employees are valued,” says VA Secretary Denis McDonough.

According to recent survey results from the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA), an increase in workplace violence events, labor shortages, and other variables are all contributing to unmanageable levels of burnout. “We cannot ignore this or continue to operate like nothing is wrong,” says NCNA President Meka Douthit Ingram.
