TONE membership is changing for the better! In efforts to streamline the process for joining the association and your local chapter, the TONE Board of Directors have approved a new flat-rate dues structure for membership. From August 1, 2019, signing up or renewing your membership will now be one flat fee. Your local chapter dues are now automatically added into the cost of your TONE annual membership.

All hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies and freestanding emergency medical centers licensed in Texas were invited to participate in the 2018 Workplace Violence Against Nurses Facility Survey. The purpose of this survey is to assess practices and strategies used by employers to prevent workplace violence against nurses.

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) held a public session March 20 in Washington, D.C., to launch a new study on the future of nursing. The goal of the Committee on the Future of Nursing 2020-2030, tasked by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), is to extend the original vision and chart a path for the nursing profession to help our nation create a culture of health, reduce health disparities and improve the health and well-being of the U.S. population in the 21st century.
