AONL Inspiring Leaders Virtual Conference 2021, July 13 & 14.

The 2021 virtual conference for AONL, Inspiring Leaders, was an incredible success, with presentations motivating change in new and innovative ways. Keynote speakers included: Doris Kearns Goodwin, “Leadership in Turbulent Times”; David Williams, “The Future of Nursing, Understanding and Effectively Addressing Health Eq”; Peter Buerhaus, “Determining the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Nursing Workforce”; and Vijay Gupta, “Healing Through Music.” On demand access to all content and contact hours is available for the AONL Virtual Conference through November 1st on AONL.org.

TONL leadership was well represented, with Dr. Cole Edmonson, former AONL Board Member and TONL member, introducing the first keynote speaker and offering his insights on the critical need for nursing leadership in building a culture of health, based on true equity. Dr. Kit Bredimus gave a presentation entitled “Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste: Lessons of a New Nurse Leader.”

Congratulations to TONL inductees as FAONL 2020- 2021 Fellows. As stated by Dr. Robyn Begley, AONL Chief Executive Officer, “This prestigious designation is reserved for nurse leaders who personally and professionally make health care better through innovative, influential and inspiring nursing leadership.”
