October is an important milestone in TMRA’s Year! This is a time when TMRA Members and Guests come together at our Annual Meeting to Evaluate our year, Plan for 2020, Recommit to and Support our TMRA Goals and Objectives and Celebrate where we are as a TEAM! The Historic Hotel Galvez is THE place to be!

An important part of this Evaluation and Planning is reflected in our Annual Board Meeting to which ALL Members, not just Board Representatives, are invited. Join us on Sunday afternoon at the beautiful Hotel Galvez. If we are full to overflowing, I’ll be more than happy to give you my seat. Not only do we talk about our challenges and successes during 2019, but also look ahead to 2020, setting our goals, objectives and budget. We look at where we are financially and what we expect for 2020. We also take the important step of electing our Officers.  Without these Officers our ship would not stay the course as we must.  A big thanks to those who agree to take on this task and, for sure, to their companies that encourage and support this one step beyond effort.

We really hope that you have made plans to join us at the Hotel Galvez this year. A new location but a great venue right across from the beach, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Hey, we even have our own Hotel Galvez Ghost who, we hope, will pay us a visit in a Welcoming Way! With Golf, Fishing and a great Fun Night venue where we honor our Legislators of the Year and Welcome New TMRA Members, there is no reason YOU should not be a part.

Our Annual Meeting is also our main opportunity to step up and support TMRA’s premier Education and Outreach initiatives through the Silent and Live Auctions and Sponsor-a-Teacher. I have no doubt at all that this effort is the Best in the Country and we should all be proud of this and continue to support it in every way we can.

Be SAFE and see you in Galveston! Ches
