Meet a Teacher this Summer!
The TMRA Teacher workshops are scheduled. See below for the remaining dates this year and choose a day to come see in person what we do at our workshops!
TMRA teacher workshop schedule for 2019:
June 16-21
Walnut Creek Mine (classroom portion will be at the hotel and we’ll be touring the mine) Best Western Premier in Bryan/College Station
June 24-28
Industrial Minerals (classroom portion will be at the hotel and we’ll be touring various sites) Hilton Garden Inn, Round Rock
July 14-19
San Miguel Mine (classroom portion will be at the hotel and we’ll be touring the mine) Holiday Inn Express in Floresville
July 21-26
Kosse Mine (classroom portion will be at the hotel and we’ll be touring the mine) Best Western Premier in Bryan/College Station
July 21-26
Uranium Workshop (classroom portion will be at the hotel and we’ll be touring the mine) Omni Bayfront, Corpus Christi
The best way to learn about something is see for yourself. TMRA members are encouraged to drop in for a day and see what we do at our workshops. Come and meet the teachers attending. You might even learn something about mining you don’t know – could be.
Email Francye at geowiz@tmra.com and let her know which workshop you’d like to visit. We are normally in the classroom on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and tour on Tuesday and Thursday. Our days go from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (except Friday when we end at noon).
