POSITION:APPRENTICE LINEMAN - (2) Positions
 
HOURS OF WORK:       7:00 AM – 3:30 PM - Monday-Friday
Standby
 
RATE OF PAY:                FIRST YEAR$27.02 PER HOUR
 
This is an entry level apprentice lineman performing entry level work in the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical distribution & transmission lines for Loudon Utilities Board. 
 
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Class A Tennessee commercial driver’s license with an air brake endorsement.
Must be able to climb a utility pole using climbing hooks and belt.
 
High School graduation is required and potential employee must have capacity to complete necessary requirements of a 4-year apprenticeship program consisting of both field work and book work. Must have completed a high school level Algebra course and be physically fit to perform duties required to become a lineman. Must have previous experience as a groundman in the electric industry and have documentation verifying that experience. Candidate must continue to pass ongoing training and be able to advance through the current apprentice program materials and course work. Both book work and field skills will be considered for advancement. Must possess basic computer skills and have access to a computer to complete the necessary workbooks and online requirements of the apprentice program.
